The following dataset contains information on health resources as a policy response to Covid-19 at the national level. The data refer to the proportion of a month (days measure applied/days in month) in which the measure was in place. The original data can be found at www.coronanet-project.org. The policy number (shown as “?” next to values) refers to the policy ID which can be used to find and identify the policy in the original dataset. Policy end dates are continually updated by the CoronaNet Research Project; however, many policies were not identified to have end dates when originally coded. Where no end date was originally available, the policy is considered in force until the present day. Therefore some policy durations may shift as earlier end dates are added by coders.
The CoronaNet Research Project compiles a database on government responses to the coronavirus. The main focus is to collect as much information as possible about the various fine-grained actions governments are taking to address the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. To date, this dataset provides the most comprehensive and granular documentation of such government policies in the world, capturing data for 20 broad policy categories alongside many other dimensions, including the initiator, target and timing of a policy. In addition to the national-level data presented here, partial subnational data is available for several countries at the CoronaNet website.
Please note that the data contains only national information - regulations at sub-national (state) level are not covered!
